“GHOST STORY” short film competition

PLEASE NOTE (due to animators needing extra time):

Deadline has been extended to Monday Oct. 1st, 2007.

The film can be of any length, any medium. It doesn't have to be complete/finished as long as any missing footage is substituted with animatic or storyboarded material.  As long as the story is complete, we're okay with it.

The competition is free to enter and open to everyone, everywhere.  You may enter as many shorts as you wish.  The story doesn’t necessarily have to be a “Ghost Story” as long as it’s spooky, weird, or scary.  If it’s a story, character or atmosphere driven tale with a twist – even better.

Your work will be judged on content, style and presentation, by a panel of Hollywood professionals (directors and producers from both the animation and live-action industries here in Los Angeles).

Just make sure the stories/films are all your own work and you are the sole owner/producer of the work.  Entry deadline is now OCTOBER 1st, and finalists will be screened at LAAF 2007 in L.A. (Oct. 20-21).  Finalists will be contacted prior to the festival, by e-mail.

Winners will be announced at the festival, and will be given the opportunity to work on a live-action/animated “Tales from the Crypt” style horror anthology project (working title - "Drawn & Quartered").  They will also receive animation software prizes courtesy of Toon Boom, and StopMotionPro.

For more details, download and print out the competition RULES.  To enter simply download, print out and complete the ENTRY FORM and mail in a region free DVD.

PLEASE ONLY USE REGULAR MAIL. THE P.O. BOX CAN ONLY ACCEPT REGULAR MAIL. THANK YOU.
